Westmoore Freshman Football Team:   Beginning with the 2008 football season, Westmoore High School will be at 9-12 high school and will have a Freshmen football team. The program will be an extension of the varsity program at Westmoore and will be supervised by Westmoore's Head Football Coach, Mike Whaley.

Schedule:   The Freshmen Jaguars will play a schedule of Mid-State Conference opponents including Moore, Southmoore, Midwest City, Del City, Norman, Norman North, and Edmond Memorial. A playoff with the Metro Conference will be held at the conclusion of the season between the Freshmen Champions of each conference. The majority of the Freshmen games will be played on Monday nights at 7:30PM.

Coaching Staff:   The Freshmen football staff has three coaches that are not varsity coaches. The Freshmen team will interact with the Jaguar Varsity coaches on occasion at practice. The Freshman football staff will be named in the very near future.

Practice:   Freshmen football practive will be held at the Westmoore Football fields located on the west end of the Westmoore campus at 12613 S. Western. Freshmen football players will be enrolled in 6th hour athletics and begin practice after 2PM each day. Practice will be held at times in conjuction with the varsity practice, but Freshmen players will practive only against other Freshmen players. There will be no contact practice interaction with Varsity players. Practices should conclude by 5PM each day. Practice length and time frames will be more specific during the season.

Locker Area:   Freshmen football players will locker in the current Westmoore Football Fieldhouse located at the Westmoore Football Fields on the west end of the campus in a seperate dressing facility from the Varsity Locker area. Interaction with Varsity players will be on a very limited basis and always under the supervison of the football staff.

Uniforms/Equipment:   Freshmen will wear Westmoore uniforms and will be issued Varsity level equipment.

Spring Football:   Freshmen will have one week of spring football padded practice from May 12-16. Spring Practices are to be held at Westmoore from 3PM to 5PM each day.

Summer Programs:   Summer Pride, $70, the Jaguar strength and conditioning program, will start on Monday, June 23 and run Monday thru Thursday of each week through July 24. Time frames are tentatively set to coordinate with the Varisty workout from 6:30AM to 8:30AM. Jaguar MiniCamp, $50, a padded football camp held at Westmoore will be held July 9-11. This camp will be indoctrination to Jaguar Football and the techniques and schemes to be used during the upcoming season.

Fall Practice:   Fall football practice begins on Tuesday, August 12th at 6:30AM. School begins on Thursday, August 14th. The Jaguar Jamboree, an intra-squad scrimmage and picture day, will be held on Saturday, August 16th.
